Every company's history is made up of passion, dedication, milestones, and unforgettable memories. Ours began in 1933, in the heart of Vigevano, with the establishment of the Bellazzi-Baratè ironmongery.

A second location is opened for the distribution of ferrous materials aimed at the nascent Vigevanese industry

Bellazzi retires and assumes a new name: Baratè Santino SRL that will accompany us until 2011, the product range is expanded with nonferrous metals and in particular aluminum alloys for industrial applications. The Vigevanese pole of footwear innovated, moving from iron molds to Aluminum alloys, which allowed for lightweight and mechanically very strong molds.

A new era began with Santino's death and his almost 40-year-old son Alberto taking the reins. It was decided in those years to focus on Aluminum alloys, ousting iron.

Dr. Alberto Baraté Innova experimented with the cold processing of Aluminum plates through mechanical Horizontal cutting. plates that until then intended only for rolling to produce thick plates or sheets. This Innovation allowed strong direct and indirect Industrial savings and met the market needs for a low-cost performance product

The company continues to grow and moves to larger spaces within the same municipality.

The New spaces and the experience gained in horizontal cutting allows a new breakthrough; milling.

Constant investment and experiments in research and development, study with the help of universities and strategic suppliers are the winning strategy: we become producers of milled plates with excellent tolerance of flatness and thickness.

The company continues to invest in equipment and human capital. The organization and nature of the company changes from trading to the metal industry.

The change also goes through a retargeting of the corporate image, logo, products, market positioning through customer perception.

The name changes to Baratè spa; the historicity of the brand now recognized and appreciated throughout the country is maintained, and the Values, Mission and Vision that guide us are made current and precise.

Since 2017 Dr. Baratè together with his children Alice and Niccolò decided to invest in an innovative establishment tailored to OUR needs; the experience gained in almost a century allows Dr. Baratè to think and create a work space able to create value.

Dr. Alberto Baratè passes away in February 2021 not seeing the end result of the new facility.

His Sons Alice and Niccolò along with a highly cohesive Team of collaborators finishes the plant as they thought together and succeeds in the feat of moving in the summer of 2021;

Baratè now operates in a 12,000-square-meter covered plant with the possibility of expansion.

The plant is equipped with 280 kw of photovoltaic panels and embellished with a green park that runs around the plant.

In the same year, the street of the plant is named after Alberto Baratè and the Baratè brand is registered in Italy, Europe and England, and we are certified ISO 9001:2015

Baraté measures itself on time; we have been collaborating with the University of Bologna and the spin-off Turtle since 2022.

Through a sustainability management software, Vivace, we measure our real-time water-light-transport and waste missions and are able to calculate a total Co2 emitted per kg processed (custom cut piece).
