Anticorodal Bar
EN AW 6082

An alloy with average mechanical properties that's primarily used in the mechanical engineering and automated machinery construction industries.

Thanks to its combination of good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, and suitability for anodic oxidation, this alloy represents an ideal compromise for any application.

technical characteristics

Weldability

  • TIG/MIG: optimal
  • Filler wire: AA 4043 / AA 5356

Surface treatments

  • Technical anodisation: excellent
  • Decorative anodisation: good

Workability: good, long shavings in bars

Resistance to corrosion

  • Atmospheric corrosion: good

Availability

Available extruded in the physical state T6, based on the EN tolerances. Drawn available upon request. Available in flat, square, and round bars for diameters >300, as well as in cast and turned T6 billets up to 550 mm.
